Join us for our Safe Schools and Healthy Students (SSHS) Youth Leadership Summit from

February 11 – 13, 2009 at the Arlington Convention Center!

The SSHS Youth Leadership Summit is a high-energy, 2 ½ day program that is designed to motivate and guide students and their sponsors into a position of leadership for their campus student safety team, as well as to equip them with the skills and tools necessary to do the job successfully!

The SSHS Youth Leadership Summit includes outstanding keynote presentations, partnered with specific youth leadership workshops by each keynote speaker.  Small group interactive sessions will also be held in which youth teams develop a presentation for the adult participants at the Summit, which can be taken back to deliver directly to school district staff.

Registration and all meals and snacks will be provided free of charge for students and sponsors, and entertainment events such as a bounce-around carnival and a concert by inspiring artists will surely keep you hopping!

The SSHS Youth Leadership Summit can be attended by invitation of your ESC Region's Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities (SDFSC) Specialist.  Each ESC Region will have two different high-school aged teams of four students, with each team accompanied by one adult sponsor.
